about me
Polly A Baldwin BA Hons
My aim is to produce lifestyle documentary photographs for people that show their characters and capture how they feel for a moment in time to ‘capture their experience’ and enrich their family albums with forever memories.
I graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1999 with an honors degree in Fine Art Photography. Since my father gave me my first SLR 35 mm camera for my 14th Birthday I have been making both documentary and experimental artworks. My classical training gave me experience and understanding of light and traditional image manipulation that those who have only known digital photography may find difficult to understand.
I now work mostly in digital format I am an Canon Professional Network Gold Member and use the best Canon equipment and lenses and several processing programs to ensure my images are the best quality possible.
I work globally all year round with studios in the French Alps and near the Peak District Sheffield in England where I grew up.
My main areas of business are Corporate Events & Commercial/Editorial Photography for the hospitality, ski and cycle industries, but I still enjoy producing pet and equine portraits and wedding photography for many.
I have had my travel images published and had exhibitions in several galleries and public spaces over the years. I have also created bespoke artworks for a number of diverse clientele.
